The Bratislava Music Festival, known in Slovak as Bratislavske hudobne slavnosti, is the Slovak Philharmonic's flagship international classical music festival, first held in 1965 and now opening the philharmonic's concert season each autumn. When the Bratislava Music Festival opened its first edition across April and May 1965, it inherited a fourteen-year local tradition of spring concerts known as Bratislava Spring.
