The story

World Music Festival Bratislava in Bratislava

World Music Festival Bratislava is Slovakia's largest world music festival, held each September across multiple Bratislava venues and, since a recent edition, Trenčín as well. Marking its tenth anniversary in 2025, it was voted the world's best world music festival that year by the Transglobal World Music Chart, spanning flamenco, tango, gypsy jazz, Balkan and Romani music.

When World Music Festival Bratislava reached its tenth anniversary in September 2025, organizers had reason to celebrate more than just a round-number milestone: that same year, the festival was voted the best world music festival anywhere in the world by the Transglobal World Music Chart, a distinction it had previously won in 2018, cementing its status as Slovakia's leading entry in a genuinely global genre ranking.
