The Kosice Christmas Market runs through Advent as part of the city's branded Kosice Fairytale Christmas program, running for more than a quarter century. Stalls cluster around the city's Gothic cathedral, the Immaculata column, and the Lower Gate, with the mayor serving mulled wine, festive concerts, a nativity scene, and traditional food including lokse and langose.

For more than a quarter century, Kosice has run a branded Advent program called Kosice Fairytale Christmas, of which the city's Christmas market stalls form the most visible, but not the only, part.
