The story

Grape Festival in Trenčín Airport

Grape Festival is a two-day open-air music festival at Trenčín Airport, founded in 2010 and held at its current airport venue continuously since 2022. Running each August, it spans alternative, rock, pop, dance, house, techno, drum and bass and hip hop, ranking among Slovakia's largest and most popular multi-genre festivals.

Trenčín Airport, the sprawling former military airfield in the Váh river valley that has hosted Slovakia's largest music festival, Pohoda, since 2004, is also home each August to a second, more compact gathering: Grape Festival.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

Grape Festival has built its identity around broad genre coverage within a compact two-day format, spanning alternative and rock through pop, dance, house, techno, drum and bass and hip hop, letting it draw a wide cross-section of Slovak festival-goers into a single weekend

02

The mystery stays covered

Sharing the Trenčín Airport venue with the larger Pohoda festival situates Grape within the same former-military-airfield setting in the Váh river valley, surrounded by the Western Carpathian Mountains, giving it access to established festival infrastructure

03

The city starts moving

Founded in 2010, well before its move to the airport site, the festival has grown over more than a decade into one of Slovakia's largest multi-genre events, with its 15th edition scheduled for mid-August 2026
