Seviqc Brežice in Brežice
Seviqc Brezice, established in 1982 by musician Klemen Ramovs, is one of Europe's leading early music festivals. Its name derives from the Latin Semper Viva Quam Creata, always alive as created, and its historically informed performances of medieval through early twentieth-century music take place across more than 20 historic Slovenian venues.
Founded in 1982 by musician Klemen Ramovs through his organization Ars Ramovs, the Seviqc Brezice festival has grown into one of Europe's genuinely important early music events, built on strict commitment to historically-inspired performance, known in the field as HIP.
