Castle Kolpa Music Festival in Fara/Kostel
Castle Kolpa Music Festival is a summer camping festival held since 2018 along the Kolpa River in the village of Fara, in the municipality of Kostel. It draws around 10,000 attendees for a genre-mixed program of rock, pop, rap, alternative and electronic music with a strong eco-friendly, riverside camping focus.
Tucked into the far southern reaches of Slovenia, where the Kolpa River traces the border with Croatia through some of the country's least-developed forest country, the village of Fara in the municipality of Kostel hosts a festival that has grown, since its 2018 founding, into one of the region's larger summer camping gatherings.
