The Istrian Marathon links four towns of Slovenian Istria, Koper, Izola, Piran, and Ankaran, in a spring road race sponsored by port operator Luka Koper. Runners choose a marathon, half marathon, or 10 km recreational run along the Parenzana, a former railway converted into a coastal cycleway.
