Sajeta Art and Music Festival in Tolmin

Sajeta Art&Music Festival has run since 1998 at the confluence of the Soča and Tolminka rivers in Tolmin, making it the oldest festival at that riverside site. It pairs non-mainstream electronic, jazz, rock and ethnic music with film, poetry, sculpture and performance art in the Julian Alps.

Long before Tolmin became known internationally for heavy metal, its riverside confluence of the emerald Soča and the glacial Tolminka was already home to Sajeta, a festival founded in 1998 that predates every other event now sharing that stretch of the Soča Valley.
