Viña Rock in Villarrobledo
A major Spanish rock, punk and ska festival held each spring in Villarrobledo, a small wine-country town in Albacete province, since 1996. Its long-running policy of free general admission for much of its history, alongside the sheer scale it has reached from such a small host town, has made it a distinctive fixture of the Spanish festival calendar.
Villarrobledo is a farming town in the wine country of Albacete province with no particular musical reputation before 1996, when a small local rock event began that would grow into one of Spain's largest festivals dedicated to rock, punk and ska.
