Urkult Festival in Nasaker
Urkult is an annual world-music festival held beside the Namforsen rapids in Nasaker, in northern Sweden's Angermanland region. Held in late July or early August, it is widely described as Sweden's largest world-music festival and combines international music with theater, poetry, camping, and family activities across three days.
Nasaker is a small village in Angermanland, in Sweden's sparsely populated north, and it would be an unlikely festival location if not for the Namforsen rapids running directly through it.
