Orebro Race Day in Orebro
Orebro Race Day is a public motorsport street festival held in central Orebro, where racing cars run exhibition passes on closed-off Rudbecksgatan with spectators standing close to the action. Launched in 2014, it is a display event rather than a competitive race, drawing thousands of visitors into the city center each year.
For 26 years, no Formula 1 car had turned a wheel on Swedish soil, a long gap for a country that had produced genuine Formula 1 talent, including Ronnie Peterson, one of the sport's most admired drivers of the 1970s.
