Stockholm Early Music Festival in Stockholm
Stockholm Early Music Festival, abbreviated SEMF, is the Nordic region's largest international festival dedicated to early music, held annually in early June since 2002. The week-long festival focuses on medieval, Renaissance and baroque repertoire performed by musicians and singers who travel to Stockholm from around the world.
Stockholm Early Music Festival was founded in 2002 by composer and music researcher Peter Pontvik, who has continued to lead the organization as the person primarily responsible for its programming and direction.
