Stockholm Half Marathon in Stockholm

The Stockholm Half Marathon is an annual road race held in early September, drawing several thousand runners through the Swedish capital. Established in 1984 as S:t Eriksloppet, it was renamed in 2007 to attract more international entrants and runs independently of the separate Stockholm Marathon.

For its first twenty-plus years, Stockholm's autumn half marathon ran under the name S:t Eriksloppet, S:t Erik's Race, honoring the medieval king and martyr regarded as the city's patron saint.
