Kafkasor Culture Art and Tourism Festival in Artvin
Held annually during the third week of June in the Kafkasor highlands near Artvin, this festival is best known for traditional Turkish bull wrestling, in which bulls are matched by neck thickness and weight, alongside karakucak oil-less wrestling and improvised asik folk-poetry duels. It reached its 45th edition in recent years.
In the highlands above Artvin, in Turkey's northeastern Black Sea region, the third week of every June brings a festival built around a tradition found in relatively few other places in the country: organized bull wrestling.
