The Istanbul Jazz Festival is IKSV's youngest annual festival, running every July since 1994 across more than thirty concerts in historic venues from the Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre to the Esma Sultan waterfront mansion, drawing around fifty thousand people to a program that moves well beyond jazz into pop, rock and world music.

The festival traces its origin to a single 1984 concert by Chick Corea and Steve Kujala staged as part of the Istanbul Music Festival, a performance so popular it grew into its own annual event a decade later
