Hotin Fortress Medieval Festival in Khotyn
Medieval Khotyn is an international historical reenactment festival held over the May holidays at Khotyn Fortress in Ukraine, drawing knights and combat reenactors from Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, and Moldova, though it was suspended in 2014 and 2015 because of the war in eastern Ukraine and its post-2022 status is unconfirmed.
Medieval Khotyn is a historical reenactment festival staged around the May holidays on the grounds beside Khotyn Fortress, the imposing fourteenth-century stronghold on the Dniester River in Chernivtsi Oblast that was the site of major historical battles, including the 1621 Battle of Khotyn between Polish-Lithuanian and Ottoman forces.
