Leopolis Jazz Fest in Lviv
Leopolis Jazz Fest, known as Alfa Jazz Fest until 2017, is an international jazz festival held annually in June in Lviv since 2011, founded by businessman Mikhail Fridman. The Guardian has listed it among Europe's best festivals, but it was cancelled in 2022 and 2023 due to Russia's invasion, replaced by charity broadcasts supporting Ukraine.
Leopolis Jazz Fest was founded in 2011 under the name Alfa Jazz Fest by Mikhail Fridman, a shareholder of Alfa-Bank Ukraine and a native of Lviv, who initiated the festival as a jazz showcase for his home city.
