Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul Festival in Birmingham
A jazz, funk and soul festival held in Birmingham's wooded Moseley Park each summer since its 2010 founding. Its booking history spans legends including Chaka Khan, George Clinton and The Jacksons alongside contemporary artists such as Bonobo and Gregory Porter, treating the three genres as a connected musical lineage.
Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul Festival debuted in 2010, staged in the same Moseley Park woodland setting used by the area's established folk festival, an eleven-acre glade of mature trees just two miles from central Birmingham that gives both events an unusually rural, sheltered atmosphere for a festival so close to a major city centre.
