Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate

Yorkshire's largest agricultural show fills the Great Yorkshire Showground at Harrogate for four days each July with livestock judging, a flower show and country pursuits displays. Organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society since 1838, it has been the largest agricultural show in England since the Royal Show's demise and regularly draws well over a hundred thousand visitors.

The Great Yorkshire Show traces its origin to 1837, when a group of Yorkshire agriculturalists led by the Earl Spencer founded the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, holding its first show the following year in a barrack yard near York.
