Balmoral Show in Lisburn
Northern Ireland's largest agricultural show, run by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society each May at the Eikon Exhibition Centre near Lisburn. Several days combine pedigree livestock judging, show jumping, heavy horse classes and a machinery and food hall built around the region's farming and dairy industries.
The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society traces its show back to 1855, when the newly formed North East Agricultural Association staged its first exhibition at Belfast's Corporation Markets with just over 500 entries.
