Winterskol is Aspen, Colorado's oldest winter festival, held each December since 1951 as the town's toast to the ski season. Produced by the Aspen Chamber, the multi-day celebration features snow sculptures, a soup cook-off, a beer festival, live music, a bonfire, a torchlight ski descent, and fireworks over Aspen Mountain.

Aspen, Colorado's transformation from a fading silver-mining town into an internationally known ski resort happened gradually across the mid-twentieth century, and Winterskol has been part of that story since nearly the beginning.
