Bozeman Ice Festival in Bozeman
Bozeman Ice Festival is Bozeman, Montana's longest-running outdoor celebration, organized by the Montana Mountaineering Association each December around ice climbing in Hyalite Canyon, one of the premier waterfall ice-climbing areas in the United States. Days are spent in guided clinics for climbers of all skill levels, while evenings bring gear demonstrations, athlete talks, and films back in town, culminating in its 30th annual edition.
Every December, climbers converge on Bozeman, Montana, for a festival built around a very specific kind of terrain: the frozen waterfalls of Hyalite Canyon, widely regarded as one of the premier ice-climbing areas in the country.
