Utah Summer Games in Cedar City
The Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games is an Olympic-style multi-sport festival hosted each June by Southern Utah University in Cedar City. Reaching its 40th anniversary in 2026, the games open with a formal Opening Ceremony and run dozens of sports over several weeks, from archery, swimming, and track and field to equestrian, gymnastics, disc golf, and pickleball, drawing amateur athletes from across Utah.
Cedar City is a small college town built around Southern Utah University, and for four decades the university has hosted an event far larger than its size might suggest: the Utah Summer Games, an Olympic-style multi-sport festival that has become one of the largest recurring amateur athletic events in the state.
