Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo in Colorado Springs
The Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo brings PRCA-sanctioned professional rodeo to the Norris-Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs each July. Dating back to 1937 and inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2008, it now also hosts the NFR Open, drawing top circuit finalists from the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Colorado Springs has staged a summer rodeo since 1937, long enough that the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo has become one of the fixed points on the city's calendar, arriving every July at the Norris-Penrose Event Center regardless of what else changes in the sport around it.
