Bayfront Blues Festival in Duluth
The Bayfront Blues Festival is a three-day outdoor blues and blues-rock festival held each August at Bayfront Festival Park on Duluth's Lake Superior waterfront. Running for decades, it is one of America's longest-standing annual blues celebrations, having hosted more than 500 artists over the years, including Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Little Richard, and Susan Tedeschi, on a stage overlooking the harbor.
The Bayfront Blues Festival grew out of Duluth's push to activate its Lake Superior waterfront for public gatherings, choosing Bayfront Festival Park, a lakeside green space built for exactly this kind of outdoor event, as its home from early on.
