American Dance Festival in Durham

The American Dance Festival is a six-week summer festival of modern dance held at Duke University and the Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham each summer. Tracing its roots to a 1934 program at Bennington College, it relocated through Connecticut College before settling in Durham in 1978, and it now combines a professional performance season with intensive summer training programs for dancers.
