Oregon Bach Festival in Eugene
The Oregon Bach Festival brings two weeks of choral-orchestral and chamber concerts to Eugene each summer, built on a University of Oregon summer program conductor Helmuth Rilling began teaching in 1970 and centered today on the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, which opened in 1983 and gave the Grammy-winning festival its permanent home.
The Oregon Bach Festival traces back to a personal connection rather than an institutional plan.
