Fish Creek Winterfest turns Door County's frozen Clark Park, overlooking Green Bay, into a three-day midwinter carnival each February. Now in its fourth decade, the Wisconsin tradition mixes oddball contests such as a cherry pit spit and bike toss with ice bowling, Stumpf fiddling, a Snowflake cake bake, live music, and a fireworks finale, drawing residents and visitors out of hibernation to celebrate the coldest weeks of the year together.

Fish Creek Winterfest began as a small effort to give this Door County village something to celebrate once the cherry orchards went dormant and the summer tourists went home.
