Gilbert Days Rodeo in Gilbert
Gilbert Days Rodeo caps the town of Gilbert's annual Gilbert Days celebration each November with three days of rodeo action, now staged at the Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Center. First held in 1959 and organized since 1978 by the Gilbert Promotional Corporation, the rodeo pairs bull riding, barrel racing, and mutton bustin' with the parade and carnival that make up the wider Gilbert Days festival.
Gilbert Days Rodeo began in 1959, when Gilbert was still a small agricultural town in the East Valley known for cotton, hay, and dairy farming rather than the sprawling suburb it would later become.
