RBC Heritage in Hilton Head Island
RBC Heritage is a PGA Tour golf tournament held each April at Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, the week after The Masters. First played in 1969 with Arnold Palmer as its inaugural winner, it is one of only five PGA Tour invitational events and is best known for awarding its champion a tartan plaid jacket rather than a traditional trophy.
In 1969, a new golf tournament debuted at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, with Arnold Palmer taking the inaugural title.
