Lancaster California Poppy Festival in Lancaster
The Lancaster California Poppy Festival is a mid-April weekend celebration of the region's wild golden poppy bloom, founded in 1993 by the City of Lancaster as an Earth Day event and now held at the AV Fair and Event Center near the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. It combines grandstand motorsport entertainment, a junior livestock show, and craft and food vendors with the seasonal wildflower display.
Its connection to California's state flower and desert bloom season gives it strong nature-season value.
