The story

Lewiston Roundup in Lewiston

Held each September at the Lewiston Roundup Grounds, the Lewiston Roundup is a PRCA rodeo and founding member of the Big 4 Rodeo Association, alongside Pendleton Round-Up, Ellensburg Rodeo, and the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days. Its tagline, She's Wild, sets the tone for events including Xtreme Bulls, Tough Enough to Wear Pink night, and the charity event Chicks N' Chaps.

The Lewiston Roundup is part of one of the oldest rodeo networks of its kind in the United States: the Big 4 Rodeo Association, formed in 1948 when Lewiston joined with three other Pacific Northwest rodeos, Pendleton Round-Up in Oregon, the Ellensburg Rodeo, and the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days, both in Washington.

What is special

The part that makes it specific.

01

The place changes

The Lewiston Roundup's defining credential is its membership in the Big 4 Rodeo Association, formed in 1948 alongside three other historic Pacific Northwest rodeos, Pendleton Round-Up, Ellensburg Rodeo, and Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days, a group whose royalty and traditions rotate and reference each other throughout the rodeo season

02

The mystery stays covered

Beyond standard PRCA competition, the Roundup runs Xtreme Bulls, a Tough Enough to Wear Pink night, and Chicks N' Chaps, a breast-cancer charity event that donated tens of thousands of dollars to a regional cancer foundation in a recent year

03

The city starts moving

A Little Red Barn youth riding program and a Lewiston Roundup Classic amateur girls barrel racing event extend the rodeo's reach to younger riders alongside its professional competition
