Lincoln Marathon in Lincoln
The Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon is Nebraska's longest-running marathon, organized by the Lincoln Track Club since the mid-1970s and held annually on the first Sunday in May. The citywide course starts and finishes on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus, passing the State Capitol, Sunken Gardens, and Antelope Park along a largely flat, fast route.
Since 1975, a group of Lincoln, Nebraska running enthusiasts calling themselves the Lincoln Track Club has worked to build the city's running culture from the ground up.
