Lowell WinterFest turns downtown Lowell, Massachusetts into a single-day winter carnival each February, mixing live ice carving, fire performances, a chocolate festival at St. Anne's Church, and the Richard Rourke Memorial Soup Competition with curling on Merrimack Street, a live music tent, and a juried arts market. Produced by the City of Lowell with local sponsors, the 2026 edition on February 28 doubled as the kickoff celebration for Lowell's two-hundredth anniversary.
