Macon Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon

Macon's International Cherry Blossom Festival blooms each March across a city planted with an estimated 300,000 to 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees, more than almost anywhere else in the country. Founded in 1982 by Carolyn Crayton and neighbors inspired by a single backyard tree William Fickling Sr. discovered in 1949, the two-week celebration fills downtown with parades, concerts, and pink-draped streets.

Its floral identity and citywide programming make it one of Georgia's strongest seasonal events.
