Elvis Week in Memphis
Elvis Week is an annual ten-day fan event centered at Graceland, Elvis Presley's Memphis, Tennessee estate, held each August around the anniversary of his death on August 16, 1977. Produced by Graceland, it includes concerts, tribute-artist contests, panels, and fan meet-ups, and culminates in the Candlelight Vigil on August 15, billed as the world's largest annual Elvis celebration.
Elvis Week began as an informal gathering of fans who came to Memphis each August to mark the anniversary of Elvis Presley's death on August 16, 1977, long before Graceland formalized it into an organized event.
