Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is a month-long celebration held every April across Skagit County, Washington, drawing over one million visitors to view fields of blooming tulips, daffodils, and irises. First organized in 1984 by the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce as a three-day event, the festival has grown to include self-guided driving routes, display gardens, art shows, and sporting events across the valley.
The Skagit Valley's connection to bulb flowers began well before the modern festival existed.
