Nantucket Daffodil Festival in Nantucket
The Nantucket Daffodil Festival marks the island's return to spring each April, timed to millions of blooming daffodils planted along its roadsides. Organized by the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce, the 50th edition ran April 23-26, 2026, and centers on an antique car parade and tailgate picnic, a daffodil-themed hat pageant, bike and dog parades, and a garden club flower show.
Nantucket's Daffodil Festival grew out of a deliberate, decades-long civic project: planting daffodil bulbs by the millions along the island's roadsides so that, every April, the transition out of winter arrives in a wash of yellow visible from nearly every route into town.
