New Haven Jazz Festival in New Haven

For nine years, from 2008 through 2016, the nonprofit Jazz Haven produced a free New Haven Jazz Festival each August on the New Haven Green, in cooperation with the City of New Haven. From 2011 onward the concept expanded into a week-to-ten-day citywide jazz series across restaurants, clubs, and bars, and evidence suggests the festival has since returned in some form, though its exact current status could not be fully confirmed.

Jazz Haven, a New Haven nonprofit dedicated to promoting jazz culture, has worked since its founding in 1996 through collaborations with artists, schools, and community organizations.
