The oldest collegiate circus in the United States, performed entirely by Illinois State University students at CEFCU Arena each spring. Nearly a century old, the program stages ticketed acrobatics, aerial, and clowning shows under the big top, drawing more than 18,000 audience members a year.

Gamma Phi Circus began as a fraternity founded in 1929 by ISU gymnastics instructor Clifford Pop Horton and staged its first performance in 1931, making it the longest continuously running collegiate circus in the country
Every act, from aerial rigging to juggling to clowning, is performed by current ISU students with no professional performers involved, and alumni of the program have gone on to perform with Cirque du Soleil, Disney Cruise Lines, Circus Vargas, and Shrine Circuses, giving the student showcase a legitimate pipeline into professional circus careers
