Norman Music Festival in Norman
Norman Music Festival is a free, three-day music festival held each spring across downtown Norman, Oklahoma, spanning roughly a dozen indoor venues and several outdoor stages. Founded in 2008 by the Norman Arts Council and a group of local music fans, it has grown into one of the state's largest music showcases, presenting around 300 performances a year across genres from indie rock to hip-hop and jazz.
Norman Music Festival began in 2008, conceived a year earlier by the Norman Arts Council together with a group of local musicians and music fans who wanted a homegrown showcase for the city's original bands.
