Pigeon Forge Rod Run in Pigeon Forge
The Pigeon Forge Rod Run is a twice-yearly classic car event held in spring and fall in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, with the official car show and vendor area based at the LeConte Center convention venue. For more than 40 years, hot rods and classic cars have gathered here, drawing both dedicated car owners and tourists who cruise or view vehicles along the Parkway. The Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism estimates a local economic impact of roughly 3.5 million dollars per event.
Pigeon Forge's Rod Run tradition took root more than four decades ago, growing out of the broader hot-rod and classic-car culture that has long used the Great Smoky Mountains as a scenic backdrop for road trips and car meets.
