Pittsburgh Marathon in Pittsburgh
The Pittsburgh Marathon is an annual road race first run in 1985, held each spring on a hilly course that crosses all three of the city's rivers. Currently sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods, the race weekend pairs a full marathon with a half marathon, a two-to-five-person relay, a 5K, and a kids' marathon, drawing tens of thousands of runners and spectators through Pittsburgh's bridges and historic neighborhoods.
Its course and large participant field make it a strong sports/adventure row.
