Walleye Festival in Port Clinton
Main Street Port Clinton's Walleye Festival is a Memorial Day weekend outdoor celebration built around the city's Lake Erie fishing identity. The Kids Fishing Derby and Grande Parade provide signature community moments, joined by free concerts, educational programs, children's activities, carnival rides and a large vendor market. The recurring practices—Kids Fishing Derby, Grande Parade, and waterfront concerts rides and educational activities—tie the public program to the place and the people who sustain it.
Lake Erie wind reaches the Port Clinton waterfront while young anglers watch their lines and a parade prepares to cross the self-proclaimed Walleye Capital.
