Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo in Rapid City
The Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo brings livestock competitions, professional rodeo events, an AQHA horse show, and a beer festival to Rapid City each winter, ranking as South Dakota's second-largest annual event after the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and drawing an estimated 331,000 visitors to the Black Hills region.
The Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo has grown into one of the defining winter events for South Dakota's ranching and agricultural community, produced by Central States Fair Inc., a nonprofit, member-driven organization that also runs Rapid City's summer Central States Fair and manages the Central States Fairgrounds in partnership with Pennington County.
