Savannah Stopover Music Festival in Savannah
Savannah Stopover began in 2010 as a low-key detour for touring bands headed to South by Southwest in Austin, offering a paid gig and a break from driving. Now past its tenth anniversary, the festival has grown into one of the country's best curated music-discovery events while keeping its homey, small-venue feel.
Its historic-city venue network and indie music focus make it a useful Georgia row.
