Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show in Scottsdale
The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show began in 1955 at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel with about 50 horses from twelve farms, founded alongside the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona. Now held every February at WestWorld of Scottsdale since 1989, the show has grown into the largest Arabian horse show in the world, featuring more than 2,000 horses, over 350 commercial exhibitors, and upward of 300,000 attendees.
In 1955, the Arizona Biltmore Hotel hosted a modest new competition: the first Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, featuring roughly 50 horses from twelve farms.
