Sedona Hummingbird Festival in Sedona
The Sedona Hummingbird Festival gathers birders and nature enthusiasts each July for three days of speaker presentations, garden tours, and banding demonstrations centered on the up to eight hummingbird species found around Sedona. Presented by the International Hummingbird Society and based at the Sedona Performing Arts Center, the free festival pairs birding field trips with a hummingbird marketplace, a plant sale, and a dedicated Kids Day.
Sedona's red rock canyons, backyard gardens, and riparian corridors along Oak Creek create seasonal habitat for as many as eight hummingbird species, drawing birders to the area well before any organized festival existed.
