Alabama Coastal BirdFest in Spanish Fort
The John L. Borom Alabama Coastal BirdFest is a four-day birding and nature festival based at the Five Rivers Delta Resource Center in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Now in its third decade, it pairs expert-led lectures and workshops with guided excursions into the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, Dauphin Island, Fort Morgan, and the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge.
Spanish Fort sits at the edge of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, a sprawling network of rivers, swamps, and bottomland forest often described as the second-largest river delta in the continental United States.
