Volume Music Festival in Spokane
Volume is a music festival founded by Spokane's alternative weekly, the Inlander, showcasing local, regional, and national bands across roughly ten bars and venues in downtown Spokane. The two-day, 21-and-over event has featured over one hundred acts in a single weekend, though it has run intermittently, including a five-year pandemic-era hiatus and a scheduled pause following its 2024 return.
Volume was founded by the Inlander, Spokane's long-running alternative weekly newspaper, as a way to showcase the region's music scene using the same kind of curatorial eye the paper applies to its music journalism, rather than handing programming over to a commercial promoter.
